For the 60-hour Online Course
Studies in Gambling Addiction Certificate
Offered by the
State of Minnesota Department of Human Services.
Counselors, therapists, drug & alcohol counselors, and other mental health professionals in Minnesota who wish to become listed and reimbursed for treatment of problem
gambling must first complete an approved 60-hour course.
The MN Department of Human Services is offering scholarships for the approved online course “Studies in Gambling Addiction” Certificate Program offered through
the North American Training Institute and the University of Minnesota Duluth Center for Economic Development.

The NATI course is a web-based clinical course that is available from any computer at any time. The course is audio-based with a downloadable training
manual and is also approved by:
- American Psychological Association
- American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders
- National Council on Problem Gambling
- Many other certifying bodies [approvals list]
