Continuing Education Approvals

The North American Training Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The North American Training Institute maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

The American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders (an international certifying body) has approved NATI to offer Continuing Education credit for Certified Addiction Specialists in accordance with the Academy's guidelines. NATI's courses also count toward the Academy's 60-hour educational requirement for obtaining its Gambling Specialist Certification.

The National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) has accepted the North American Training Institute as an approved provider of education for alcohol and drug abuse counselors. Approval #297

The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) Education Committee has reviewed this program and finds that it is consistent with its established standards for gambling counselor education and training.  Approval Number 06/255.

The National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) has approved the Counseling the Pathological Gambler online course trainings offered by the North American Training Institute.  Approval Number 6132.

The Minnesota Board of Social Workers has approved Counseling the Pathological Gambler Online to offer continuing education credits.

The State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drugs and Gambling Counselors has approved NATI courses for up to 60-hours - # 2004-100.

NEW: The Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) has approved the Counseling the Pathological Gambler online course trainings offered by the North American Training Institute.   Provider Status # 458

The Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists & Professional Counselors has approved the online courses sponsored by the North American Training Institute for a maximum of 60 continuing education hours. Approval Number: SWCE090251

NEW: The North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Certification Board (NCSAPCB) has approved NATI courses for up to 60-hours. Approval # 07-303-G.

The State of New York, Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), has granted approval to the North American Training Institute as an Education and Training Provider, authorizing the provision of specific course work in compliance with the requirements of 14 NYCRR Part 853 and/or Part 855 credentialing regulations, effective 10/01/2006 through 10/01/2009, Provider Number 0676.

The Illinois Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association(IAODAPCA) has received and reviewed the application for Counseling the Pathological Gambler I & II .  In accordance with IAODAPCA criteria, up to 60 CEUs have been awarded in the following categories: Counselor I or II, CARS I or II, MISA I or II or III, CRSS II, RDDP I or II, PCGC I or II, CCJP II, NCRS II, CAAP I, BRI II.

This activity (G5550 & G5555) has been approved by the Minnesota Board of Psychology for a maximum of 60 continuing education hours. (Board Log #04-6864)

The training has been approved by the New Hampshire Board of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Practice.

The State of Louisiana Office of Addictive Disorders (AEP-LSBCSAC), has approved the North American Training Institute for as an Approved Educational Provider, Approval No. AEP # E095.

Counseling the Pathological Gambler has been approved by the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board (ASACB) for 60 contact hours toward initial and recertification.

The California Board of Behavioral Sciences has approved the North American Training Institute as a Continuing Education Provider. Approval # PCE-2570.

NEW: The Alaska Board of Professional Counselors has approved the North American Training Institute as a Continuing Education Provider.

This program is approved by the Canadian Problem Gambling Certification Board.

The State of Tennessee, Department of Health, Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors has approved the North American Training Institute as a Continuing Education Provider. Approval #041602.
